La hora del Planeta / Earth Hour

El próximo 28 de marzo, a las 20:30, tienes una cita con el Planeta para demostrar que la lucha contra el Cambio Climático es posible.

Esta iniciativa de WWF es la mayor campaña en defensa del medio ambiente de la historia, en la que participarán 1000 millones de personas. La Hora del Planeta 2009 involucrará a los gobiernos, ciudadanos y empresas en una acción conjunta para llamar la atención sobre los efectos del calentamiento global y exigir a los líderes políticos que actúen para controlar las emisiones de CO2 antes de que sea demasiado tarde. Hasta ahora, más de 3000 ciudades de 84 países se han comprometido a apagar las luces de sus edificios más emblemáticos, como gesto simbólico de apoyo a La Hora del Planeta.

On March 28th at half past eight p. m. you have an appointment for the sake of planet Earth. It is to show that the fight against the climate change is possible. It is a WWF proposal. In fact, it is the most extensive campaign ever done in defence of the environment in which there will be one thousand million participants. Earth Hour 2009 will involve governments, citizens and private companies in a combined action to draw attention on the effects of global warming and demand actions from the political leaders to control the emission of CO2 before it is too late. So far, more than 1700 towns and cities in 80 countries have compromised to turn off the lights of their most characteristic buildings as a symbolic support to Earth Hour.
