The Dragons which did not know Christmas

Once upon a time, there was a child called Javier. It was Christmas Eve. He was in his country house together with his family, and his father told him:

-Javier, lets go to look for firewood for tonight, and the child answered:
-Great!
Javier and his father went into the forest in search of some logs. Both were looking around when the father noticed that Javier had disappeared. He looked for him for a good while until it became dark and had to return home.
Meanwhile the child walked through the bushes trying to find his home, when he saw a very big and gloomy castle. He remained wondering whether to knock on the door. He did so when an animal of his same size opened the door. It was a dragon, and a bit frightened asked if he could go in, as he felt very cold. The child went in and suddenly got to a huge dining-room hearing voices which asked How are you? And What`s your name? and the child noticed the questions were for him and answered them. They sat on the sofa and the dragons asked him how was it that he had got lost in the forest and the child told them:
- Well, I was walking together with my father in search of firewood for tonight as we are at Christmas and it is very cold. Dragons asked him:
-What is Christmas?
And the child, surprised, explained him what Christmas was and told them:
-It is a festivity which is celebrated in the last month in the year, when the child Jesus was born and when presents are given to small children because the Three Wise Men gave the new born Jesus some presents. It is also a time when house are decorated with Christmas ornaments, a tree is set, etc.
Dragons thought it was an excellent celebration and decided to tell him to help them decorate their huge castle. The child accepted happily. They were looking for things the previous owners had left in the loft and they could find a lot of Christmas items. They remained decorating till dinnertime. The mother dragon cooked a very big and delicious turkey in the oven. After dinner, the child taught the dragons some carols to sing by the fire. It became very late and they left. The following morning, the dragons helped the child to find his home and when his parents saw him coming, they became very happy and were grateful to the dragons for having taken care of his child.
From then on, dragons celebrated Christmas as one of their yearly festivities.

The end.
